Information Collected By Us

We collect general information including name(s), email address(es), phone number(s), desired subject(s) in which to receive or provide tutoring, photo(s), and/or comments and opinions of people through our website forms. We also collect form submission dates and times as well as state and/or country of residence for demographics.

The website also collects analytic information such as the number of visits to the website, the number of unique visits to the website, the bounce rate (percentage of users who viewed only one page of the website before exiting), and the number and content of website form submissions, among other Wix analytics.

We also have the right to conduct background checks using third party background checking systems on all tutors, managers, directors, and other non-student members of Tutors For Change. We collect this information in an effort to ensure the safety of our students. Information collected from background checks are either stored in the third party background checking system online or with us.

Access To and Use of User Information

The website administrators, owners, and team members have access to all the above information in emails notifications sent by the Wix website when a form is submitted by a user of the website. This information is also stored in Form Submission Tables on the website administrators’ and owners’ online Wix account dashboards, our team's shared Google Drive folder, and any other platforms we use that require storage and access to users data for their functionality.

This information is collected so that we may connect students and/or parents looking to receive tutoring for themselves or their children with tutors affiliated with Tutors For Change in a timely manner. So, information about students or parents including, but not limited to, name(s), email address(es), phone number(s), area of residence, desired subject(s) in which to receive tutoring, and/or any comments submitted on any forms on our website are shared with tutor(s) affiliated with Tutors For Change. Additionally, any information provided by prospective tutor(s) including, but not limited to, names(s), email address(es), phone number(s), area of residence, desired subject(s) in which to provide tutoring, and/or any comments submitted on any forms on our website may be and are displayed publicly as tutor profiles on multiple pages of our website and may be and are shared with prospective students and/or parents. We also reserve the right to use any image, videos, or other information provided to us by our tutors, team members, volunteers, or any other individuals who work with us in our promotions on our website, social media, news, and all other outlets.

We also use contact information provided by users to send Newsletters and promotions to our users. By filling out any form on our website, or by donating to us, or by contacting us via email, users agree to receiving such Newsletters and promotions from us. Users may unsubscribe from our lists at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button on the emails received, or by emailing us directly to remove their contact information from the distribution platforms we use.

By filling out and submitting any form on our website, users understand and agree to having any of the aforementioned information shared with any members of our Tutors For Change community including students, parents, content owners, leaders, tutors, team members, affiliated firms and/or companies.

The collection, use, and/or sharing of user information can and will take place until the user requests that we terminate the collection, use and/or sharing of their information as detailed in the section below.

Termination of Collection, Use, And/Or Sharing of Information

The user may choose to terminate the collection, use and/or sharing of their information by us by:

Emailing tutorsforchange.us@gmail.com with a request to stop using or sharing any of their information, and
Completely refraining to visit and/or use our website, products, or services.

Privacy Protection

We will take reasonable steps to protect your privacy by not sharing collected information about you with person(s) not mentioned in this Privacy Policy. Furthermore, our website is secure (SSL activated). User data is also protected by third-party online storage we use like Wix, Google, and other platforms. However, we are not liable for any modification, loss, and/or theft of information shared by users and/or collected by us on our website.

We may modify our Privacy Policy over the course of time. We will try to notify you when such modifications take place via email or other contact information you may provide us with.
